The spring season is upon us starting Saturday April 2nd at Sara Roosevelt Park (by Wholefoods on Christie and Stanton). We had originally intended to start March 31 but one of our coaches will be away in France so we will start on Saturday. Registration is up on the website, so please check it out for times and ages. This spring we are offering classes for 6th and 7th grade for the first time. Also we will be continuing with Sunday Street soccer classes at the neighborhood school with coach Frankie. The indoor setting is perfect for young children to master the basics in a child centered setting that empowers them to develop the individual foot skills they need to be successful. All the info is on the website but if you have any questions please contact us atmailto:email@example.com.
Dear Parents: I would like to first thank every one of you for an amazing indoor season. I have seen the kids improve so much and I have been very impressed with the enthusiasm and level of engagement of your children. It is always a privilege to work with young people and often they teach me as much as I teach them. Together we have learned what it means to play together, learn new skills and learn what it means to respect each other and the game itself.
I would like to remind you that although this weekend was the originally end date we will be extending the season to include a few make up classes. The Saturday class will be receiving one make up class, and the Sunday group will be receiving 2 make up classes. March 19 and March 20 will have class at the same times. For the Saturday group this will be the last class of the winter season (March 19th), and I would like to encourage the parents to bring some healthy snacks to celebrate. Sunday class you will be having your last class on March 26th, which is the day before Easter Sunday. We will be having class at the same time as usual.

Coach Vince and the LYS team
I just received word today from the Parks people that our beloved field for the spring will commence resurfacing as of tomorrow. This means that we will have to relocate out practice. I know this may be an inconvenience but the good news is that come June 10 when construction ceases our field will be completely resurfaced and a much better playing environment. So here are the changes:
Tues: We will be on the East River just south of Houston on the grass softball fields. Same time 4 to 6pm.
Thurs: we will be at the field just 3 blocks south of current field on Grand st and Christie. Same time 4 to 6pm. We will be there for the next 2 Thursdays
Saturday: we have a change in field AND Time. We will be at softball fields on East River just south of Houston.
5-7 yr olds 8 to 9am.
Family soccer 9-10am
Freestyle and older group 10-11am.
I know that this may represent an inconvenience and I am truly sorry. I was told repairs were to be done in the summer, but on the other hand I am happy that they are actually fixing the field. I thank you for your understanding and patience. Any questions whatsoever please contact us.
